We invite you to participate in the 7th edition of the Business Angel of the Year competition, organized by COBIN Angels. The aim of the initiative is to recognize the best business angels and individuals who play a key role in the development of the Polish startup ecosystem and angel investments.
As part of the competition, awards will be given in five categories: best business angel, debut investor with first startup investments, foreign investor supporting the Polish market, ecosystem mentors, and startups developed with the support of business angels.
Applications are already underway, and the finale of the competition will take place at the Business Angel of the Year Gala, scheduled for March 2024 in Warsaw.

The Business Angel of the Year 2024 (BAY) Competition awards the most outstanding, committed and active private investors who play a key role in supporting the startup ecosystem in Poland. The current edition of the Competition will also award: Investment Ecosystem Mentor (Investment Ecosystem Mentor) and Startup (Best Angel Driven Startup).
The Competition is organized by COBIN Angels, the largest professional association of business angels in Poland. The competition highlights angel investing as an attractive form of investment and career path for ambitious investors, professionals and entrepreneurs.
We invite you to submit contest nominations, which will be evaluated by the Chapter. It is on the basis of the submissions that we will select the winners in the categories: Business Angel of the Year, Debuting Business Angel of the Year, Foreign Investor. In addition, the Chapter will select winners in the Categories: Investment Ecosystem Mentor and Angel-Driven Startup Award, in these categories the winner will be decided by an open public vote.
The finale of the competition will be the Business Angel of the Year Gala, which will be held in March 2025 in Warsaw, Poland. During the Gala, awards will be presented, and the startup selected in the voting will have a chance to present itself in front of hundreds of potential investors.
To participate, all you have to do is submit your candidate for the award (including yourself) via the nomination form. It is thanks to your submissions that we can recognize individuals and projects that are shaping the future of the angel investment market and the startup ecosystem in Poland.

The stage of nominations (applications) for the Competition is underway. The Competition Chapter has selected the finalists and Laureates.
Business Angels will be awarded in as many as three categories. In each category concerning business angels, the Competition Jury will make a direct designation of the Winner, selected or chosen from among the submitted entries.

The Business Angel of the Year Award is a prestigious award given by representatives of the private investment community. The award will be presented at an elite Final Gala to be held in Warsaw in March 2025. In previous editions of the Competition, the honorees were: Bartek Pucek, Wiktor Schmidt (Netguru), Piotr Romanowski, Pawel Kastory, Pawel Zylm, Marcin Tchórzewski, Wojciech Kostrzewa, Dawid Urban.
The award can only be given to investors who apply via this form.
Investment Ecosystem Mentor is an award dedicated to all people involved in the development of the startup market in Poland. We invite you to nominate mentors, experts, representatives of gas pedals, people involved in education and support of both startups and investors.
Within this category, the Award Chapter will invite the best Candidates to the finals, during which Internet users in an open vote will select the Laureates.

Angel-Driven Startup Award is a category dedicated to ambitious startup projects that have received support from business angels.
We invite projects that have attracted at least one private investor - a business angel - by offering breakthrough technologies.
From among the submissions, the Competition Committee will select the best Startups for the finals, during which Internet users will select the Winning Startup in an open vote.
Founders and Investors are invited to nominate Startups for the Business Angel of the Year 2024 Competition! The winning Startup will present an investor pitch at the Competition's Final Gala in March 2025!

Business angel applications for the Business Angel of the Year competition, organized for the second time by COBIN Angels together with the Executive Club, were accepted until May 6, 2019.
The competition jury considered the investments made by the Business Angel in 2018. In addition to exceptional financial performance, the support provided by the investor was evaluated.
